Nick Raine is Director of Operations

Nick joined Novia in 2012 taking over management of the Operations team in 2013.  Nick became  Director of Operations in January 2016.

The recent upgraded CGT calculation tool is just the latest of many enhancements delivered in 2020. It  has certainly been a busy year at Novia with continuous development of our services provide the best service to all our users.  Here is a snap-shot of some of the developments that have taken place over the last 12 months.

 

Changes to our market leading Adviser Zone portal

Sell to Withdrawal Transaction – March 2020

This functionality ensures that cash raised for a withdrawal or cash movement is locked out of the rebalancing process. No need to delink from models and no need to remove any periodic rebalances.

User Management – April 2020

User Management was introduced to give you the ability to create and manage logins for Investor Zone as well as for Adviser Zone for which you can also control the level of access for AZ users within your firm.

Maintain Wrapper Details – June 2020

We made a new option available from the Adviser Zone landing screen via the Transactions menu. After selecting a specific Investor and then the relevant wrapper, you are now able to view and amend a growing number of wrapper specific items.

Wrapper Details – Regular Withdrawal (Amend existing) – June 2020

This was the first stage of enabling you to amend an existing Regular Withdrawal for GIA and ISA wrappers, allowing you to amend the frequency and amount or to cancel or commence a regular withdrawal online.

Wrapper Details – Ongoing Charges & DFM Charges (View) – June 2020

As a result of this enhancement, ongoing Adviser charges and DFM charges can now clearly be viewed online at wrapper level via our Maintain Wrapper Details functionality.

Wrapper Details – Regular Contributions – July 2020

Regular Contributions (including Employer contributions) can now clearly be viewed online at wrapper level via our Maintain Wrapper Details functionality.

Wrapper Details – Ongoing Charges (Amend) – October 2020

Ongoing Adviser Charges can now be amended online at Investor and wrapper level with no need for a signed form (unless the charge is a set monetary amount).

Wrapper Details – Regular Withdrawal (Add Bank) – October 2020

Bank accounts can now be added or amended online for the purpose of Regular Withdrawals for GIA and ISA wrappers. This means that Regular Withdrawals (GIA/ISAs) can now be fully managed online with no need for additional forms.

 

Changes to our Model Portfolio Management service

Submit Without Rebalance – June 2020

This enhancement added the option of not rebalancing wrappers that are linked when making changes to model portfolios via the Model Portfolio Manager.

Analyse Base Model – June 2020

We added the Analyse Base Model function so that Model portfolios can now be analysed in MPM using using a number of options with multiple output alternatives. You can also obtain all fund documents for all funds contained within the model with a couple of clicks and download theses as PDF documents.

40+ Assets in a model – June 2020

This enhancement has made it possible for Model portfolios to exceed the previous maximum of 40 assets.

 

The Addition of a new verification process Credas.   Biometric Verification for new bank accounts – July 2020

If we are unable to verify a new bank account using our current process, we now provide the option to send a link directly to the investor that will enable them to verify the required detail via biometric verification without having to send further supporting documentation to Novia.

 

Changes to our Documentation process- Signatureless Form Submission – July 2020

A number of forms that previously required a signature can now be sent to us via Novia Secure Messaging, without a client signature.
